Genesis of the Project
The genesis of this project came from a young man named Christopher Ducharme who tragically lost his mother in 1996 when she was murdered by her boyfriend. Chris' loss has led him to the knowledge that life is precious and we must all do whatever we can to help improve the lives of others. Roller-blading and poetry became forms of emotional release for him. Most significantly though, is his ability to forgive her killer and turn his loss into the impetus for helping others is inspiring. Michael Cuccione, who died in 2001 at the age of 16, was also inspiring. His motto has become Chris' motto: "One person can only do so much, but together we can make a difference!"
